402 .... and counting

Today there are 402 days until I become a Mrs... I know that most people say that is a million years away, but it really isn't.. I am already feeling the pressure of putting on The... event to be at in 2010... (My wedding)... I am super excited that I can't even stand it... One worry that I have is that it will be anti climatic... I mean you plan for over a year (and for some people their whole lives) for this one day... and then that one day (from what I have heard) goes by in a blink... and then it is over... no more planning no more excitement... you are back to your real life... I don't want it to be a disappointment... I will have to think more about this...

First Meeting (with Eric)

We are in the process of getting dressed and ready to go for our first meeting with Eric the photographer...We are nervous and excited all at the same time. We think that photography is one of the most (if not the most) important element to making our wedding a success. At the end of the day... the pictures are the only thing (besides the husband...lol) that you have when the dust settles and the wedding is over... So we need to make sure that we make the right choice... At this point we have a top three and we are in the process of meeting with all of them... Today is the first day and we don't know what to expect... we want to ask the right questions and we have a list... but we will see what happens... I will update you later!!

Wedding Weight!!

Ok... So I looking at My Knot and I am realizing that I have a mere 406 days before the big day.. Yes I know that sounds like whole lot... but in reality once we get to the 1 year mark it is all going to be down hill... My problem is that I need to lose 50 pounds before the big day... I know I know... they all say it... buy for the body that you are now... but I cant... I wont... I refuse to be a fat bride... I will not be happy if that happens... I know how to lose weight... I am actually a professional at it.... and I will lose this 50 pounds... I will... I have 4 wedding dresses that I need to fit in... and I will not disappoint myself... I will be coming up with a plan in the next couple of days... but I want to think it through before I publish it...

Finding a Photographer

So when we met with our wedding planner... our 2 things that we needed to get done ASAP was to get our venue booked and to book our photographer... So I have been to a bunch of Bridal Fairs (which I think that most of us do out of excitement when we first get enganged)... and I just had no connected with anyone... I starting using different websites to find a different kind of photographer... someone that just does not take the standard wedding photos...So I came across Eric from Raw Photo Design... and his pictures are fabulous and different.... I also found Tonia Sones... which I love her pictures also... and Candice has recommended Carla Ten Eyke to me... So right now I have a top 3.. I am meeting with Eric this saturday and I can not wait... I am in the process of compiling my list of questions so I dont forget when we get face to face... My Eric is going to be in town and we are both going to meet him... He has told me via email that he likes to get to kow his couples so that they are comfortable with him and in front of the camera... I really like that thought... I mean I dont want the wedding day to be the 2nd day I meet with him... I am totally excited and cant wait... I am also in the process of setting up meetings with the other 2 on the top 3... I will let you know what happens....

Ok ... So we are getting Married!

Ok... So my name is Jody and my fiance and I (Eric) got engaged on 09/07/2008...It is hard to think about telling my whole entire story in this first blog... I wanted to start this whenwe first got engaged but it did not work out that way... so the long and short of it is this... we are engaged... we have set a date...(01/22/2010)... I have 4 wedding dresses from EBay... I am on my second engagement ring... I was blessed to WIN... yes that is right I said WIN...the services of a fantastic wedding Planner (Shout out to Candice@ Jubilee Events)... I am in the process with her of planning this wedding... we are looking to invite 216 people and we have decided that we are going to have it at The Waterview in Monroe... that is another story (lol)... I am going to be writing a bunch of blogs but I wanted to just start the first one...
BTW I have a four year old daughter... a full time and part time job... and my fiance lives in NYC...I hope you enjoy reading my blogs as much as I am going to enjoy writing them!!!
